Eligible service for Tier 4
The first year of eligible service must include 975/1,000 hours of non-student employment.
Each subsequent anniversary year in which you are appointed for one hour or more of eligible non-student service will count as one year of service.
An anniversary year in which you do not work at least one hour of service will result in elimination of previously credited service.
When you have completed seven years of service according to these rules, contributions will increase to 10 percent. Contributions will continue at 10 percent as long as you remain active in Tier 4.
