If the break-in-service begins before the waiting period being met and the break-in-service is greater than 28 days, then a new waiting period must be met.
The new waiting period begins on the new eligibility date (hire date or change in applicable employment status).
If the break-in-service begins after the waiting period has been met and the break-in-service is less than 1 year, then coverage is reinstated upon your return. No new waiting period is required.
