The RF offers 13 paid holidays per year. If you are required to work on an official holiday, you will be paid for your time and given a paid day off. If employees do not use holiday leave before their employment terminates, the holiday leave is lost.

Non-exempt employees earn accruals for paid personal leave based on your date of hire, position classification, and employment status. Personal leave is available for personal or family reasons other than illness. Please contact your campus Benefits Office for additional information.
You earn accruals for sick pay based on your date of hire, position classification, and employment status. Sick leave is available for an illness, a doctor/dentist appointment or to care for an ill family member. Please contact your campus Benefits Office for additional information.
You earn accruals for vacation based on your date of hire, position classification, and employment status. You may request to use vacation time after a six-month waiting period. Upon separation from RF employment, eligible employees will be paid for up to 30 days of accrued, unused vacation leave. Please contact your campus Benefits Office for additional information.
The RF will grant family and medical leave in accordance with the requirements of applicable state and federal law in effect at the time the leave is granted. No greater or lesser leave benefits will be granted than those set forth in the relevant state or federal laws. Read more

Salaried regular and postdoctoral employees who work a minimum of .5 FTE are eligible to accrue Parental PTO. These accruals may only be used to bond with a child during an approved Child Care Leave period, for a maximum of 12 continuous workweeks. Your campus Benefits Office will provide you with additional details on PTO Parental.
If you are called to jury duty, you will receive the necessary time off with full pay to fulfill this civic obligation. You should request jury duty leave from your supervisor in advance and provide him or her with the necessary documentation (jury duty voucher).
You may be eligible for the following types of leave without pay: disability, child care and personal. Requests for leave without pay must be reviewed individually by your supervisor. For additional information, please contact your campus Benefits Office.
If you are called to active military duty, you will be paid for up to 22 work days or 30 calendar days, whichever is greater, during any one calendar year or any continuous period of ordered military service. Read more
