The information on the RF Benefits Web site is provided to you based on your employee type. Your employee type will determine the benefits for which you are eligible so it is important that you access the content that applies to you.
Below are definiations for each employee type. If you have any questions, please contact your campus benefits office.
You are a regular employee if you do not have a summer-only appointment, are not a full-time SUNY employee, and are not a full-time SUNY student working part-time in a RF student title.
You are a summer employee if your RF employment is for a summer appointment only. This includes SUNY faculty who work on RF projects during the summer.
You are a SUNY graduate or undergraduate student employed by the RF whose work coordinates with the fulfillment of academic requirements.
An individual holding a doctoral degree who is engaged in a defined temporary period or mentored research and/or scholarly training for the purpose of aquiring the professional skills needed to pursue career path of his or her choosing. Postdoctoral Associates train under the direction and supervision of faculty sponsors in preparation for acedemic or research careers.
